Film Vs Digital Photography | Destination Wedding Photographer based in Bunbury, Margaret River & Perth Australia.

I started shooting film a few months ago because I just love how the pasterly tones, dreamy and almost painterly look that film can create. Not to mention, the old school sound and loading of film gets me all excited about it (somehow, cant explain it!)

I still love shooting digital because of the new technology that allows me to capture spontaneous moments, moment between moments, candid and journalistic photos quickly. Also knowing what I have captured gives me the confidence to know what I have captured and allowed me to check for improvements straight away.

As much as I love shooting 100% film weddings, I think the best option is to have the best of both worlds. Digital to capture quick candids and moments while film allows me to slow down and capture some nice dreamy portraits and wedding day details. That is why I am offering the Hybrid  Photography, the combination of 2 formats, the best of both worlds!

Of course, every wedding is different, but I would say I shoot approx 80% digital and 20% film for Hybrid photography.

Do check out some of the comparison photos below.
