Danica first contacted me enquiring bout having her model portfolio done. She was very keen to have something different because she already had some other photographers did her model portfolios, but she wanted something soft, natural with real emotions, something different from what she already had. Theme for this lifestyle / fashion model portfolio is bridal gown with horse. Why? because she loves the horses and thanks to Tashlin from Kendhall Park Friesians for the arrangements and patience during the session. The outcome turned out great and Danica was such an awesome model to work with, very open minded. Being mostly a wedding and engagement photographer in Bunbury and Perth, this theme suited me as well. Glad we had this session.
I am just starting to catch up with blogging, this french rustic themed shoot was planned a few weeks in advance, to get the styling done by Jo Clark was awesome, and thanks to Jo Mcintoch for the venue at her Rustic French Living. Not forgetting the 2 awesome models Bec & Simone and Michelle for helping out.
French Rustic Living is located in Boyanup, Western Australia. It is actually an old church that was converted into this awesome french themed shop that sells products relating to their theme. When I first went there, I knew I need to have a session here, so I approached Jo, the owner and she was happy for me to plan for a shoot at her venue. I love the rustic feel of the place and natural lights would be perfect for the shoot. Here are some of the shots that I love and thanks again to the nice people who helped me put this whole thing together. Cheers
As I love natural lights, this session was done entirely just with natural lights.
We actually planned for another themed shoot, but because the weather has changed and its getting really chilly, we have decided to change the theme and location. Michelle from Metro Modelling Bunbury & Jo Clark who helped us with the venue, styling and props was such an amazing help, and of course, the 2 beautiful models Christina & Ronee. It turned out well, although I wasnt feeling well for more than a week with hayfever, couldnt even open my eyes at times, gosh, wish it would go away. Pretty challenging to peek in the viewfinder especially when my eyes gets itchy and teary. As I always wanted to do something different each time. The last fashion shoot was done at the airport with one light setup, this time, there isnt any light set up used at all, it was kept in my car the whole shoot just for back up. I love shooting with just natural light and one reflector, thats all. Makes me more mobile and concentrate more of the expression of the subject rather than the technicality of the shot that may have lost the expression that I want to portray. I have just completed one image at the moment, but will post more soon.. hopefully soon :P
