Faversham House, York, Western Australia - Perth Bunbury Wedding Photographer Videographer

I met Nola at Laurelville after the event and she did a bit of introduction about her place at Faversham House, York, WA. After she have left, Katie Colgan from Loui Col shared her experience with me about that venue. I find it very interesting to have a totally different style and set up with Laurelville when both venues are not too far away and built around the same time. Both totally different character and style but both looks amazing in its own way. So, me and my assistant Avril decided to make a quick stop at Faversham House just to say Hi to Nola and briefly see the place before we head back. The moment I entered Faversham House, I knew I needed to take my camera out. Its so amazing, the antiques, structure, style and everything else is so full of character.

That is when we have decided to take a bit more time and walk around the place for a bit of interior and exterior photos. I sure am glad I did!. Thanks to Avril for assisting me. I am looking forward to capture a wedding in Faversham House.

Thanks Nola, for showing us around.

Published | White Magazine - Perth Sydney Wedding Photographer

I have always loved White Magazine, the texture of the paper, the overall feel and style of the magazine really looks good . This wedding was held at Laurelville Manor, York. Such an awesome venue for vintage weddings! Thanks to White Magazine for putting things together so well and of course the awesome couple and vendors to make it all so beautiful.

BOOK | From Here to Maternity by Kylie Doust - Bunbury Photographer Ben Yew

When Jo Clark ( founder of South West Fashion Festival ) first contacted me regarding a photo session for her client Kylie Doust & her family, I was hesitant at first. Why? because I am currently only accepting bookings for weddings, engagements and lifestyle session for couples. However, when it comes to something different or publications, I make exceptions. I have previously shot a few editorials and 2 made it to the cover of the magazine which I am really happy with. I guess its the personal satisfaction, haha. But this is something different, its for a book.

Kylie & Glenn Doust's book is called "From Here to Maternity" and it should be out in the bookshops by Christmas. This book is about their journey and challenges going through an adoption process for the two boys from Korea to Australia. According it her, its a very challenging and lengthy process going through it. She is now sharing her experiences in her book.

I had the privilege to meet the family during the photography session and they are just an awesome bunch. They commissioned me for the job because they are after a family lifestyle session and someone who works with natural lights. We started the session at their home and headed to the park nearby just for some extra shots. Thanks to Jo, who helped out with styling and being my assistant at times.

I am looking forward to see the book being published by end of this year and I am very excited to see which images are being selected for the book.

Additional Info for photographers:

All these are shot with natural lights, reflector, Nikon D800 with 50mm & 35mm.  And not forgetting an awesome assistant and stylist (Jo)
